About Tom and Jerry
Tom and Jerry is an American animated series of comedy short films created in 1940 by William Hanna(Story man and Character designer) and Joseph Barbera(Director).
The show is about comic fights of a cat TOM and a mouse JERRY who lived in the same house and whole time Tom tries to catch Jerry with his traps and tactics but always unsuccessful. Although it’s a non-violent show but still in mostly episodes both of them try to kill each other with explosives ,guns and kitchen knives. However, on several occasions they have displayed friendship and concern for each other.
The show had almost no dialogues but still it became famous all over the world.To express emotions only music were used and they were perfectly synchronized with situations.Every age-group consisting child and adults both became fan of this wonderful animated series.
Tom and Jerry was highest grossing animated film series of that time and won 7 Academy Awards for Animated short films. (Read more)
